This Easter we have been invited to take a short break at Butlin’s in Minehead and we are one very excited family.  They are a holiday brand I’ve been keeping an eye on for a while as I can remember visiting Butlin’s in Skegness when I was a child.  Things have changed a lot since the 80’s and its pretty safe to say that so has Butlin’s!  Read on to find out why we are looking forward to our UK family holiday.

A Relaxing Stay in the New Lakeside Chalets

Butlin’s at Minehead boasts the addition of the new bright and cheery lakeside chalets.  The biggest accommodation in the Butlin’s portfolio they have been designed with families in mind.  With 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms available the chalets are ground level and are set in beautiful surroundings near two scenic lakes.

Amazing New Entertainment at Butlin’s

The children are so excited about the new entertainment coming to Butlin’s in 2017.  You are talking about the perfect kids holiday when there’s a chance to see the Teletubbies in a new live show, Mr Men and Little Miss could also be making an appearance.  Danger Mouse will also be hitting the stage across the three resorts in 2017.

Premium Dining at Butlin’s

Butlin’s premium dining package includes an all star breakfast buffet and an evening meal at one of their family friendly restaurants.  Dining as a family is an important part of a holiday for us, and having great quality food provided at the resort is a big deal.  The kids will have so much choice for breakfast with morning pastries, cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit on offer.  I think it will be a full english for Daddy though.

For dinner it’s going to be tough to choose between a carvery, with all the trimmings or family favourites like Cottage Pie, Fish & Chips, Minted Lamb or Vegetable Hot Pots all found in the The Yacht Club and not forgetting to mention the unlimited ice cream factory for the kids. I can see everyone finishing the day on a high, .  This is what holidays are about isn’t is?

Packed Activity Program

Our kids need to be busy, so I was delighted to see a packed Easter themed activity program including Easter arts & crafts, Bonnie’s Easter bonnet parade and an Easter egg hunt.  There is going to be no time for falling out with all this on the program alongside a visit to the fairground and the Splash Waterworld.  Happy kids equals happy parents, right?

Visiting Minehead & Exmoor

Butlin’s is just a stones throw away from some glorious sandy beaches in the picturesque seaside town of Minehead.  With the Exmoor National Park on our doorstep also, Butlin’s in Minehead will make the perfect base for an outdoor adventure with the family.  I think this is going to be one very busy holiday indeed.
