We were recently invited to stay at the Travelodge Bath Waterside Hotel to find out what the new SuperRooms had to offer hotel guests.  We were really excited as the hotel has recently been refurbished and were very much looking forward to using it as our base to explore Bath for a few days.

The hotel has a car park but for some stupid reason I left my car on the street for the first night. Due to misunderstanding the parking restrictions and being 15 minutes late to move the car, I ended up with a parking ticket the next day. I would absolutely recommend using the Travelodge car park as driving and parking in Bath are not easy. The car park costs £6 for 24 hours, but it is well worth it compared to other options in Bath or getting a ticket!

Travelodge are Bringing it with the new SuperRoom!

When we arrived at the hotel, we literally had to fly straight out again as we were going to Jaime’s Italian for dinner. Despite only being in the room for a few minutes we were immediately impressed with the new decor.  We’re talking cool greys and subtle lighting complimented by dark wood furnishings. The new Travelodge SuperRooms tick lots of boxes when it comes to hotel style.

After dinner, we headed back to our SuperRoom and spent some time getting more acquainted with where we were going to be staying for the next few days. Travelodge have added lots of new features to the SuperRoom that we loved and here’s what you can expect.

Travelodge SuperRooms Come With:

  • Lavazza coffee machine & pods

Other Things we Loved About Travelodge Bath Waterside Hotel

  • 5 minute walk to Bath train station
  • Car park provided (charges apply)
  • 15/20 min walk to centre of Bath and main attractions
  • Friendly & welcoming staff

There is free wifi available at Travelodge, but only for 30 mins in every 24 hour period. Additional Wifi is available for £3 per day for up to 2 devices. It’s a pretty fast connection and helpful if you have work to do during your stay. I signed up for the wifi for our 2 day stay and it allowed me to catch up on important emails and work stuff.

Our SuperRoom at Travelodge Bath Waterside Hotel was really comfortable and we had a lovely stay for our short city break.  The upgraded rooms definitely provide a superior experience to standard Travelodge accommodation and are perfect for people looking for a few more creature comforts during their stay.

Our SuperRoom was a great place to come back to after a busy day exploring the city of Bath. We slept incredibly well during our stay thanks to the king size dreamer bed and I really appreciated being able to make a Lavazza coffee while we were getting ready to go out in the morning.

I’m really pleased to see Travelodge offering a premium option for travellers wanting to stay in their hotels. Travelodge hotels are often in convenient and accessible locations and in my experience provide excellent customer service. Now the SuperRooms are here, they compliment the Travelodge brand exceptionally well.

  1. Love that they are improving their room. I have stayed in their hotel a couple of times in London Waterloo and KingsCross and was not too impress. The room looks great. Will most definitely upgrade to a Superoom.

  2. I’d not heard of the super rooms, but they sound (and look) really good. I must admit I tend to expect unlimited free wifi these days, but the hotel car park sounds good value. Those beds sound so comfortable.

  3. I havent heard of these rooms, but they sound really great! It sounds like a comfy & relaxing place to stay. I have to admit, the wifi would annoy me a bit I think!

  4. Oh my… Travelodge sure do seem to be upping their game compared to when I last went and stayed in one of their hotels!

  5. I hadn’t heard about the superrooms until I read this. Oh no about the parking ticket. The hotel car park sounds good value for money though x

  6. I’d not heard that they had Super-Rooms! I wouldn’t have guessed that was a travel lodge from those pictures, looks like you had a nice stay!
