I missed out on the whole festival experience when I was younger, for some reason it seemed to pass me by.  I’m not sure how I’d of faired at a big event like Glastonbury or Creamfields, I think I’d have found the numbers a touch overwhelming.

Fortunately, festivals offer such a variety of experiences these days, that it’s not all about filling a field with thousands of revellers in funky wellies.  Families can really get in on the act and it’s well worth adding Wychood Festival festival to your list of travelling experiences if you enjoy camping and like having plenty to do.  If you plan well, even the smallest of children can have a great time.

There is something for everyone at Wychwood, and on the music front this festival is really making its mark.  Having teamed up with BBC Introducing they have just announced 30 new up and coming acts to join this years line up such as The Commonjets, Speak Brother, Grassroutes, The Folly Brothers, Emily Burn, James TW, Chase the Deer and many more. They join already announced big name musicians The Proclaimers, UB40 Ali Campbell, Astro, Mickey Virtue reunited and more.

Wychwood has family entertainment sewn up too, and have just confirmed their new and returning workshops for 2015.  There is something for every age and ability, whether you are after upwardly mobile, creative or inspiring you will not be disappointed.

There are the old festival favourites like the Giant Bubble Show, traditional face painting and a variety of puppet shows for young and old to enjoy.  For the more new age family, why not enjoy some Laughter Yoga to lift the spirits before heading off to make awesome festival hats.

  1. I remember seeing loads about this last year. I think we kind of missed the festival thing with our lot. Probably too old now 🙁 Look so fun though!
