We were recently sent a pair of August EP715 – Active Noise Cancelling Earphones – ANC In Ear Headphones with Integrated Microphone to review.  I don’t use earphones a great deal but my husband and teenage son do.  I always get stuck with what to buy them for Christmas, and it dawned on me that headphones might actually be something they would both appreciate as a gift.

August Noise Cancelling Earphones Review

When the earphones arrived, I was very impressed with the packaging.  The headphones were very well presented and anyone would feel like they had just received a quality product.  They were presented in a black box, and looked great.

I gave them to my husband to try out as he was looking for a pair to use at work.  He uses them to take part in conference calls and listen to music from his computer.

He has used them for a few weeks now, and feels like they are a good quality pair of earphones.  The are effective at noise cancelling and work well for listening to music and taking part in conference calls and meetings.

The only downside is that he doesn’t feel they are great for using with a computer.  They are designed for using with a mobile phone, and he finds the lead gets in the way quite a bit.

How Will The Earphones Be Used?

If you are looking to buy a pair of earphones for someone, do think about how they will be using them the most and what device they will be plugged into.  If they are going to be using them with a computer most of the time then a set of Bluetooth headphones may be the better option.

Our overall opinion was that they were a good pair of earphones, excellent quality and look great but not ideal for computer use.  I can see these earphones being passed to my teenager who uses them a lot with his phone to listen to music for walking to school and investing in the Bluetooth model for my husband instead.

We were provided with a pair of August EP715 – Active Noise Cancelling Earphones – ANC In Ear Headphones with Integrated Microphone for the purpose of this review but all thoughts and opinions are our own.

  1. I need to get a pair of noise cancelling earphones for my husband. He likes to listen to music at night but I can hear all his current earphones.

  2. Thank you for sharing this. I wish they would work for a computer, but they seem like a great pair of headphones that I may be looking into!
