There’s no doubt that a cruise is a great option for a family holiday. Usually for one payment you can get all your expensive costs covered as you are provided with everything from food and accommodation to transport and entertainment onboard. The only problem with cruising is that there’s so much choice! So, here’s my list of cruises perfect for families to help you guys out.

Disney

Nothing says family more than Disney and it’s not just their films and rides that are entertaining kids on a cruise. As well as the fantastic devotion to making their cruise ships fun for all the family with mascots walking around for you to interact with and movie screenings, they also have a couple of private islands with lots of cool activities to enjoy on land. Basically, Disney cruises bring the fun of the theme parks, such as water roller coaster ride and Aquaduck, right onboard for 24 hours fab family fun.

Royal Caribbean

As well as having their own private Caribbean island to stop off at for the day, Royal Caribbean are becoming the masters of multi-generational cruising. Just take the all –new Symphony of the Seas for example. Not only is this the largest cruise ship ever, it’s also chock full of amazing activities everyone from the baby to granny will enjoy together. Just a few examples are the Flow Rider surf simulator, laser tag, sky diving machine and robot cocktail makers (not for the kids!). The cherry on the cake has to be how technology aboard this smart ship really gives you priceless peace of mind as you can prebook tables, check in and track your bags for the perfect stress free holiday with no wasted time.

Norwegian

Norwegian pack such a punch on their ships that you just need to bring something to wear. On Norwegian Bliss, the unique selling point is surely the one kilometre long go-kart racing track. Just think about it, that’s crazy! How do you fit one thousand metres of anything on board a ship? Ok, it’s big but a race track! Somehow they also manage to fit on the best water parks throughout all the cruise lines too with a vertical drop slide where you stand on a trap door before whizzing up and around at unbelievable speeds. It’s not all rock and roll though, with an amazing thermal spa for the adults to relax in.

Carnival Vista

Carnival also has super waterparks with slides and a tipping drench bucket but the main attraction is a sky ride where you peddle around above the main decks. Again, there’s also a relaxing adults only area called Serenity, which really lives up to its name, with comfy lounges and warm pools to soak in as the views slide by. This is a great place to skip off to while the children are entertained at the three kids’ clubs, depending on their ages, and a cool teen club they’ll love to mix and make friends in.

MSC Meraviglia

If your kids love playing with construction and toy bricks, MSC is the cruise line for. They have a special partnership with Lego, Duplo and Chicco so their kids’ rooms and clubs are kitted out and themed around these top toy brands. They also have great water parks, slides and climbing frames to compete with the other lines but there highlight is definitely on the inside of the ship where the kids can mix and play to their heart’s content before getting wet and wild outdoors.
