Where To See Santa in Nottinghamshire

Santa Specials with the Great Central Railway

Great Central Railway’s “Santa” services have become one of the museum’s most popular features.  Join a steam-hauled special service (pre-booking essential), through some of the best countryside settings, accompanied by a visit from Santa himself!

Children receive an age-appropriate gift, confectionary and a drink, while Adults receive seasonal refreshments too. Santa comes to your seat at GCRN and provides a last chance for children to get their present requests in before the big day!

Available to book on weekends between 1 Dec 2018 – 23 Dec 2018

Trains run on Saturday and Sunday at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 14:30pm

Santa’s Grotto at intu Broadmarsh

Santa Claus is coming to intu Broadmarsh to meet all of the wonderful little shoppers and he can’t wait to hear all of their Christmas wishes.

Walk-up and see Santa Claus at his festive grotto for free at intu Broadmarsh this Christmas! Santa will be making an appearance from 10:30am – 1:00pm and 1:30pm – 4:00pm on 1 and 2 December, 8 and 9 December and 15 – 24 December. Be sure to make your moment with Santa one to remember by adding a gift to your visit for £3 or picking up a photo gift from £7.

While Santa’s grotto is free to customers who want to walk-up without prebooking this year, you can arrange for a specific time slot online for £1.50

Visit Santa at Wheatcroft Garden Centre, Nottingham

You and your family can visit Santa in his own magical winter wonderland this year at Notcutts Wheatcroft Garden Centre. Enjoy a special visit with Santa and a Christmas gift for all the boys and girls.

Check the Notcutts events page for dates, times and prices at Wheatcroft and to book online. The Grotto is very popular, so advance booking is highly recommended.

Breakfast with Santa at East Bridgford Garden Centre

Meet Santa, tuck into a delicious meal, enjoy some festive games and a story with Santa and then take home a gingerbread man and present.  Sounds like a lovely place to visit Santa doesn’t it?

Enjoy a family Christmas at Wollaton Hall with Santa

With a decadent gift shop in the courtyard and a chance to visit Santa Paws in his doggy grotto on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 December you’ll be sure to have a good time with this fun place to visit Santa in Nottingham.

Join Stories with Santa as he reads you festive tales of the North Pole, Elfs and Reindeer on every single weekend of December or take a Family Christmas Tour of the Hall when it’s all festively decorated.  Stop by for Christmas in the Courtyard on Saturday 15 December and Sunday 16 December and enjoy readings, carols, festive fayre in the cafes and much more. Visit Santa at Brookfields Garden Centre, Nottingham

Go and visit Santa this Christmas time for a magical experience at Brookfields Garden Centre. The Christmas theme is ‘A Secret Garden’ and this is carried through to the enchanting Secret Garden Santa’s Grotto.

Grotto Opening times: 11-4 (queue closes at 3.30) on the following dates November 24th, 25th December 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd (closes at 2.30) . Closed on 24th

Entrance is £1 per child with all proceeds being donated to Nottinghamshire Hospice charity. 

Santa’s Grotto at Four Seasons Shopping Centre, Mansfield

Santa’s magical Snow White and the Seven Dwarves grotto will be open every day from 18th November – 24th December.
Admission is £4 per child including a gift and photography is an optional extra.

Visit Santa at White Post Farm

The Christmas festivities begin at White Post Farm on Saturday 24thNovember and run every day until Christmas Eve.

Head along to the Christmas barn where you can explore the Winter Wonderland Walkthrough, build a snowman, do some Christmas Crafts and, of course, visit Santa in his grotto.

Make sure you save time to take part in the traditional nativity play, and meet the real life reindeer! Plus all the usual farmyard fun; why not feed the fa la la llamas? Or check out the mistle-toads in the Reptile House? Or go and wish our cows a Moooory Christmas?

At weekends, two of Santa’s cheekiest elves – Elf Ant & Elf George – will put you through your paces at the very popular Elf Academy! Complete challenges, pass basic elf and safety and get put to the test – have you got what it takes?

Why Not Have Tea With Santa?

Throughout late November and December you can enjoy a festive feel good story telling from Father Christmas himself and your little star can tuck into a yummy meal box and take home a wrapped gift from Santa. Some of Nottingham city centre’s top department stores are welcoming Santa and his sleigh, including House of Fraser, Debenhams and Marks and Spencer for this very special place to visit father Christmas.

Don’t forget to check out the Tea with Santa dates on Wednesday evenings, when the city’s shops are open longer until 8pm

Tickets cost £10 for one child and one adult and include a wrapped gift from Santa, a sandwich and drink for the child and a tea or coffee for the adult.

Wednesday 6th December and Thursday 7th December, both 4:30pm to 6pm.

Child tickets cost £7.95 and include a childrens meal (including a choice of sandwich, fromage frais, crisps, raisins or Kit Kat plus a fruit drink) and a wrapped gift from Santa.

Adult tickets cost £3.95 and include a hot drink and a choice of cake.

Wednesday 13th December and Friday 15th December, both 4:30pm to 6pm.

A child ticket costs £6 and includes, a kids meal and a wrapped gift from Santa.

A maximum of two adults can accompany each child at no extra cost and food and drink will be available to be purchased from the restaurant.

Visit Santa at IKEA Nottingham

Go and visit Santa’s workshop in IKEA Nottingham where he will be visiting the store every week in the run up to his busiest time of the year!

You can show Santa your list, get a picture with the man himself and his helpful elves and even get a present to tide you over untill the big day all for free.

You can visit Santa Claus for free on these dates and times during December.
