Clangers have been a huge hit with my daughter since they returned to television on CBeebies earlier this year. She watches them every morning before nursery and she loves her Tiny Clanger and Soup Dragon that she received for a review a few months ago.
Since she received them, we have been eagerly awaiting some more toys from the show to review, and they finally arrived a few weeks ago. I’m not sure who was more excited, me or my 3 year old daughter.
We were lucky enough to add the Clangers Home Planet Playset and the Clangers Collectable Figure pack to her growing collection, and what a big hit they have been with her.
Great For Imaginative Play
She really enjoys role play toys at the minute, immersing herself in her own little world and using her imagination to create stories and scenes with her favourite toys. It’s something that she enjoys sitting and concentrating on which gives Mummy a few moments to get a few chores done have a cup of tea.
The Clangers Home Planet Playset and Clangers Collectable Figure Pack are perfect for her to bring her favourite show to life and develop her Clangers adventures.
The Clangers Home Planet Playset comes with a Granny Clanger, a pop up Soup Dragon and a telescope that can provide viewing from 3 different locations on the Home Planet.
It’s got 3 separate areas where the Clangers can explore, making it fantastic for imaginative play. The Clangers can visit Mother’s Garden and the Soup Wells before exploring the Home Planet’s vertical lake or having a doze in the Swinging Hammock. You’d need a rest after all that wouldn’t you?
The Clangers collectable figure pack comes with a Baby Soup dragon, Major Clanger, Mother Clanger, Tiny Clanger and Small Clanger. Adding the extra characters to the Home Planet Playset has really helped my daughter enjoy the Clangers toy to it’s full potential. She loves pretending to be the different characters and making up their adventures exploring the Home Planet.

The Clangers Home Planet Playset also works really well with other toys from the range like the Music Boat. I can see us asking Santa to add this to our Christmas wish list.
As well as the different play areas, there is also the slide that the Clangers can shoot down as they would in the CBeebies show. It’s these little touches that have really helped spark my daughters imagination.
From my perspective, it’s a great toy for role play and it’s really well made. It’s been a pleasure to watch my daughter play with it, and I think it would be suitable for boys and girls from 3 years old upwards who enjoy the show.
