The Peppa Pig Construction Grandpa Pig’s Boat Set arrived here at Zena’s Suitcase this week and I was really excited about sharing it with my 3 year old daughter. I want her to be exposed to a range of toys, including toys she can build and make things with. I think it is so important for her development and will set her in good stead for her core school subjects like Maths and Science.

I waited until her little sister took a nap, and then I revealed what we were going to play with during our special time. She’s a huge Peppa Pig fan, so seeing the Peppa Pig Construction Grandpa Pig’s Boat Set made her really happy. She wanted to get stuck in straight away.
The boat sets comes with an easy to follow set of instructions, some stickers that can be added for decoration and a Grandpa Pig character toy. The bricks are a great size for small hands to manage and we really enjoyed building this together.
It was lovely watching her play and encouraging her to follow the instructions. It was simple, but there were some parts that we needed to think about to get right. There was a good deal of stimulation putting the boat together, for both of us!

We loved the finished boat. It makes a lovely toy. It’s really sturdy when put together and freewheels across the whole living room when given a really good push. Both the girls are really enjoying fighting over playing with this toy and they wouldn’t have any problem recommending it to any other Peppa Pig fans.
